Amy's Garden CSA
What is a CSA?CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. When participating in our CSA program, individuals buy into the farm at the start of the growing season and in exchange receive a Share of our farm’s harvest each week throughout the season.
The CSA allows the farm to have working capital in the late winter and early spring when it is needed most and helps to guarantee a market for the produce we will grow! Our CSA members or “shareholders” receive a generous sampling of the farm’s harvest each week during the peak of the season in return for their investment. Everything we offer is grown by us in Charles City, VA, and is USDA Certified Organic. So you know you'll be getting the fresh, healthy, organic produce each week. Participating in the CSA is a great way to experience eating locally with the seasons, to support your local farmer, and to help build a strong community through strengthening food security. The FactsA Garden Share provides members with a weekly box of organic produce representing the best of the season. The contents vary depending the season and on what is ripe and ready for harvest each week. A Share is an appropriate size for 1-2 people who really love their vegetables or a small family.
Distribution starts in May and runs for 16 weeks. We offer a "Garden Only" or a "Garden+Flowers" Share. Shares are distributed at weekly pick ups, located in Richmond or Williamsburg. Unfortunately we are at full capacity with current members. For the next growing season we start signups in January/February. We do have a wait list for when slots open up. If you are interested in getting on the wait list, please fill out the form below. Be sure to select which CSA you are interested in (Richmond or Williamsburg) to make sure you are added to the correct wait list. Thank you for your interest in our CSA. |
